Course Objectives	CHINESE CULTURE COURSE provides foreign students the general idea of the culture developments in China through the useful information of Chinese history, geography, politics and economics; so that they can understand how these things impact the present Chinese culture and folk customs. Therefore they can develop a holistic view of China and do business better in the host country.

Course Syllabus And Outlin	1 General Introduction to China 2 Shanghai Culture (mixed with ancient, modern, eastern and western culture elements) 3 Confucius’ influence on the Chinese Culture 4 Visit Confucius’ Temple 5 Historical and Geographical Features which Impact the Chinese Culture (three famous ancient capitals in China) 6 Traditional Chinese Skills 7 Watch Traditional Chinese Skill Performance (such as Beijing opera, acrobatic, or traditional Chinese music performance) 8 Brief Introduction to the Traditional Chinese Medicine 9 Chinese Food Culture 10 Chinese Tea Culture 11 Visit a Famous Tea Shop and Watch the Performance to Make the Tea 12 Women’s Position & Women’s Movement which Impact the Chinese Culture 13 Chinese People’s Consumption Concept (economic feature which impacts the Chinese culture) 14 Visit the most important souvenir market in Shanghai /or Have a Case-study Discussion 15 Business Culture
