Chinese Teacher Program
Eligibility Requirements
1. You must be a citizen or permanent resident of China.
2. You must have advanced written and verbal proficiency in English.
3. You must have completed a college teacher preparation program and/or have a degree equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Education.
4. You must have a minimum of three years teaching or related professional experience.
5. You must be willing and able to commit up to three years to this Program.
6. While the primary teaching area will be Chinese language and culture, preference in selection will be given to teachers who also are qualified to teach a subject field, such as math or science.
If you meet these requirements, please submit your professional resume and picture to USCHEA. Following a positive review of your materials, you will be invited to a personal interview to be conducted in English.
All teachers accepted into this Program must return to China following completion of their assignments in the U.S., normally for a period of at least two years.
